If you take a look at the comparison between the new Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 and the existing Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lenses, you will notice that the price of both lenses is identical, but the technical specifications are NOT:



Here are the lens design diagrams for both lenses (Tamron with 17 elements in 15 groups first and then Nikon with 15 elements in 12 groups):



Next, let’s compare the MTF charts (Tamron first and then Nikon):



It seems that the Tamrons is a better lens based on the information provided by the manufacturers. I wish one of the influencers made a real comparison between both lenses.
