Metz, the lighting specialist, launches with the new mecalight L1000 BC and the splash water protected L1000 BC X two specifically developed Bi-color LED video lights. The devices offer, despite compact measurement, a luminance of 1000 lux and can be controlled remotely via smartphone app.
Modern DSLR- and system cameras have a video function. Furthermore, the willingness for moving images keeps on increasing amongst photo and video fans. With the product line „mecalight“, Metz offers the ideal lighting accessory for ambitious videos and photos. Thereby the devices aren’t only attractive for beginners but also meet professional claims. Due to the division in white and warm white LEDs, the video lights are bi-color able. Thus the color temperature can be adjusted continuously from 2800 – 5700 Kelvin. The special arrangement of the LEDs guarantees an optimal color rendering without color faults and reduces multiple shades. The operation is carried out comfortably and simply via three control elements: a multifunction adjustment wheel, On/-Off button and a button for selection of the set-up menu. All adjustments are illustrated clearly on the modern OLED-display.
Both versions are featured with three ¼ inch connecting threads in order to fix the lamps for example on a lighting tripod. For the installation of a microphone helps a hot shoe socket directly at the housing. The diffusor mecabounce MBL-01 with mounting angle is also included in scope of delivery of the L1000 BC X. The special construction of the mecabounce creates a distance to the lens, whereby an especially soft light without shadows is achieved.
Most powerful LED-video light of its class
Due to the unique lens concept and the intelligent regulation of the high-performance LEDs, the new mecalights are amongst the most powerful LED- video lights of their class. The high luminance intensity of 1000 lux can be kept constant at a color temperature of 2800 – 5700 Kelvin. Therefore the LED lights even meet professional claims.
Outdoor suitable
Die mecalight L1000 BC X ist die Outdoor-Variante. Das Gehäuse, die dazugehörigen Anschlüsse und der Batteriekorb sind nach Schutzart IP44 gegen Spritzwasser sowie Fremdkörpern geschützt.
Wireless control via Bluetooth
Both versions are featured with an integrated Bluetooth module. Via the Metz mecalight app, up to seven devices can be linked and controlled. In the wireless mode the linked video lights can be configured and the luminance intensity as well as the color temperature can be adjusted continuously. The smartphone app is compatible with the current Android and Apple iOS versions.
Power supply via Micro-USB
Besides firmware-updates, the micro-USB interface offers also the possibility to add an external power supply. Via the interface, the operator can use the charger of its smartphone or simply a powerbank as power source. An external power pack with special plug connection isn’t necessary.
